While their usual lobby is under renovations, local hotel Accent Inns Vancouver Airport at 10551 St Edwards Drive, Richmond, has used to humour to deal with the temporary inconveniences their guests may notice.

According to spokesperson, Trina Notman, “Acknowledging that everyone has to, ‘rough it,’ a little when a hotel lobby is being renovated, Accent Inns has created a temporary lobby that treats their guests to an indoor camping experience.”

The lobby’s campsite is complete with a faux fire pit surrounded with deck chairs, astroturf floor, life-size artificial deer, and other camping touches.

Even the lobby bathroom has been transformed into an outhouse.

Notman assures visitors that while the bathroom looks like an outhouse, it still has all the normal luxuries like running hot and cold water as well as flush toilets as shown in the Accent Inns’ video.

In parting, Notman said, “We’re looking forward to roasting marshmallows with you!”
